A Rainbow in The Darkness ( Chapter 2 )
Sudah 2 bulan lamanya aku menjadi seorang mahasiswa di Fakultas keguruan dan Ilmu pendidikan Universitas lancang kuning . Yadi,Irsyad, dan Aini adalah sahabat dekatku sekarang . Hari masih pagi , tubuhku masih terbaring dikasur empukku . Tak ingin rasanya melangkahkan kaki ke kamar mandi karena pagi ini terasa dingin . Tetapi jam tetap berjalan , mau tidak mau ku harus melangkan kan kakiku untuk segera mandi . Setelah mandi aku melangkahkan kaki ku ke kamar tidur untuk segera berpakaian . Hari masih menunjukkan pukul 7 , tak ingin buru-buru aku sarapan dan berbincang-bincang dengan Ayah di meja makan dengan roti bakar yang dibuat ayah dan teh hangat yang berada di depan kami . Ya seperti biasanya , Ayah hanya menanyakan seputar kuliah, pengalama belajar dan aktifitasku sehari-hari . Walaupun Ayah selalu sibuk dengan urusannya , dia masih selalu memperhatikan ku .
Waktu sudah terpakai beberapa menit untuk berbincang-bincang dengan Ayah,waktunya kuliah . aku berangkat ke kampus dengan penuh semangat . Tiba di kampus aku langsung melangkahkan kaki ke arah kelasku , hari ini kebetulan hanya satu mata kuliah saja , karena dosen di mata kuliah tidak dapat hadir. Sangat kebetulan , hari ini merupakan hari yang sangat special bagi Aini . karena beliau mewakili kelas kami dalam rangka lomba Speech Contest yang diadakan oleh Balai Bahasa Universitas Lancang Kuning . Aini tidak dapat hadir sejak mata kuliah pertama karena harus hadir jam 8 untuk pencabutan undian . Yadi,Irsyad dan aku berencana untuk mendukung Aini dengan cara menontonnya secara langsung . Jam kuliah pertama sudah habis , Semua teman kelas ku berangsur satu-persatu melangkahkan kakinya keluar dari kelas dan segera pulang . Ku kunci ruangan tempat kami belajar dan mengembalikan kunci ke ruang Tata usaha yang berada dibawah . Yadi , dan Irsyad sudah menunggu ku di bawah . Yadi bilang Aini dapat undian nomor 17 , sekarang sudah peserta dengan nomor urut 15. Segera ku berlari ke arah motorku dan langsung menuju ke depan kantin Universitas , karena acara yang diselenggarakan oleh panitia dibuat di depan kantin Universitas . Tak sabar rasanya aku ingin melihat Aini menunjukkan keahliannya dalam berbahasa inggris Aini memang anak yang bagus dalam berbahasa inggris , apalagi masalah pronunciationnya , terkadang aku susah mehaminya karena sangat mirip sekali dengan orang Indonesia yang sudah lama tinggal diluar negeri . Jarak dari fakultasku ke kantin sangatlah dekat . segera aku Yadi dan Irsyad berlari menuju kearah pentas karena peserta dengan nomor urut 16 hampir selesai .suasana di sana sudah sangat ramai walaupun matahari sudah mulai nampak dan hari sudah mulai gerah. Aini mulai dipanggil ke atas pentas , semua penonton bertepuk tangan termasuk aku Yadi dan Irsyad yang sangat bersemangat untuk mendukunya . Aini mulai berbicara , semua penonton terkesima dengan penampilan yang dibawakan Aini. ku dengar dari orang yang berdiri di sebelah ku " sangat bagus , lancar sekali ya dia membawakan pidatonya " dengarku . Aku hanya bisa tersenyum sendiri sambil melihat Aini berbicara mengenai "bullying" . Setelah selelai semua orang bertepuk tangan untuk Aini , Aini turun dari pentas pidato dan segera menuju ke arah kami . " bagaimana , bagus tidak penampilan ku tadi ? " tanyanya , " bagus , sangat bagus " jawabku . " mantap Aini persiapanmu" sambung Yadi setelah aku berbicara.
After that , Me , Yadi , Aini , and Irsyad , go to canteen to buy some drink to us . In canteen Aini meet her friend , I think she is a humble person , i can see from the way she talk to Aini . Aini introduce her friend to us , she's name is Vera , Ya , i don't know that vera also one student in faculty of teachers training and education . but Vera is not in English department , Vera take Biology. Aini see that Vera come alone to canteen because she only wanna watch the Speech Contest . Aini ask vera to join to us , she want . Ya we add a new friend , I'm very happy "kind,humble,and i like the way he talk to everyone" i think in my mind. Ya we talk in canteen to wait the result of Speech contest . Vera's home is not too far from my faculty . she same like me and my friends , first semester but the differences only she is in Biology . Vera is a sweet girl with a dimples in she's cheeks , it's very sweet . Ya , we have talk for 30 mintues , the speech contest is end . Only waiting for the result .
Now, time to the result . and Aini got number 1 ! "I can't belive it " " Aini can be the number 1 from all participants in this contes " in my mind . Ya Aini very happy and Me Yadi and Irsyad proud of her . After that , We go to our own home . It's very fantastic that Aini can win the contest . Ya it's because she is good in English . I go home and make homework because there is speaking I assignment given by my lecture. That day have been passed, Today will be a long day because i have been in campus for 7 hours . until 3.00 PM. I walk to my class after arrive in my faculty . Suddenly , I see vera with the woman that i've seen before . the woman walk from toilet with mop and broom on her hands .I can see vera with her is very close , like they've know each other and so close. Vera see me and come to me , she said " Hey Andre, How's your morning ? Good ? " she said to me with her smile and dimples on her cheeks." Good Vera , never feel better like this before " i say to reply her question . And i ask her back " Who is she ? You look so close to her " I ask to Vera , and Vera say " Ya she is cleaning service in our faculty and she work every morning at 8.00 AM until afternoon at 3.00 PM" . she reply . Ahh okay , i think she close to her because Vera have been know that woman because Vera's house is not too far from here . Ya i say " Okay vera , its time to first class today , see u and goodbye " " Okay Andre , See you , Have a good day and keep spirit " She reply with her very very very very sweet smile . Day by day , Me , Yadi , Irsyad and Aini so Close to Vera . Sometimes we eat together in canteen , go out on the weekend , and sometimes they come to my house . I'm very happy because i have a new family . Today is saturday , Yadi , Irsyad and Aini was invited lunch in my house because daddy want to know them . Ya it's okay if daddy want to know who is my friend in campus . They come , daddy look so happy because it's never crowded in my house for a long time . My friends sit on the chair while i'm prepare for they lunch . I can see my daddy talk to them and daddy look so enjoy and happy to them . Ya it's time to lunch . i sit in front of Aini . We start lunch , but suddenly Vera look so sick , and there are blood from his nose. We all shock and very very shock . But Vera calm us down because she said it because the weather is not good. She clean up blood that come out from her nose . and we start to lunch again . Next week is Vera birthday , and me, Yadi, and Irsyad , also Aini want to give her a surprise . Lunch is over , Vera want to go home because she said that her head is very sick . Me and my friend worry about her .
